neurogenesis




Neurogenesis by Brant Cortright is a groundbreaking book. We have been teaching this way of eating and living for years and know it works.To have it spelled out by a eminent psychologist complete with scientific references is a great gift to the world. Highly recommended reading!

Neurogenesis is about what we can do to keep our brain cells growing and so achieve
higher cognitive function, better memory and learning, emotional vitality and resilience, protection from stress anxiety and depression, elevated immunity and enhanced overall brain function. Nutrition, good sleep, music and the quiet of nature aerobic exercise, emotional and cognitive stimulation all make a difference especially together. Nutritional recommendations are to eats lots of fresh, fruit and vegetables, minimise other carbohydrates and add healthy fats fish oil. “Omega 3’s have been shown to be as or more effective than prescription SSRI antidepressant medication in treating depression”.
